An unusual early 18th Century rectangular gilt eglomise housescape with a formal garden in front and figures in 17th century costume.

Attributed to Daniel or his son Ignaz Preissler, Kronstadt (East Bohemia)

Circa 1700

The attribution of this exceptional piece of glass painting is based on a comparison with 'William Cavendish's Berber Horse 'Paragon' at Welbeck Abbey, by Daniel or Ignaz Preissler, from the Collection Georg Laue, Kunstkammer Munchen.
