A George III enamel and gilt metal cassolette

A rare and unusual green enamel and gilt metal cassolette. Closed with the candle holder tucked away it appears as a small vase and cover. Opened it has an elaborately chased and ornamented candle holder. The body of the vase is decorated with gilt metal swags and the base has swags and other ornament in low relief.

In the manner of Mathew Boulton.
